PBA Applied Ecology are one of the leading ecological practices in the UK. Our clients benefit from engaging with a team of dedicated professionals, with a wealth of previous experience, a well-established network of leading specialists, and a reputation for integrity, practicality and quality.
PBA was established in January 2000, drawing upon 10-years’ previous practice experience within the University of Sheffield. Our strength is Applied Ecology – the practical application of life sciences to real life situations. We are acknowledged for the successful delivery of a broad range of projects, from small scale surveys, to major infrastructure developments. We work confidently across business sectors, including industry, regulators, and conservation.
PBA grows largely as a result of client recommendations, repeat business, and a reputation for consistent quality and focus. In August 2010, PBA opened a new head office, located on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. In April 2011, the business was incorporated, and in 2012 PBA opened an outreach office near Inverness. The practice now deploys across much of the UK.
PBA remains an independent practice, with a client-facing focus on applied ecology. Over the last 12 months, we are pleased to have represented clients at national conferences, industry awards, and on national TV. Led by a dedicated management board of experienced professionals, we continue to invest heavily in further developing our people, capabilities and services, and welcome all new enquiries.
