Aquatic Environment
PBA Applied Ecology has a far-reaching reputation for working within the aquatic environment, having worked across a range of sectors in consultation with regulatory bodies. We are able to provide comprehensive project support due to our wealth of experience and extensive aquatic ecology capabilities. A knowledge-based approach is essential to successful outcomes, and we are proud to have achieved an outstanding track record in this area.
PBA staff are highly trained in methods of working in the water environment, receiving bespoke accredited water safety training for lotic and lentic systems. This approach is further enhanced through our rigorous in-house biosecurity procedures, and broad range of specialist aquatic equipment.
PBA deliver specialist services in the water environment across many ecologically important sites, such as SSSIs and SACs, and areas that contain species protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (as amended), the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010 and the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975.
