Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW/ACoW)
An Ecological/Aquatic Clerk of Works (ECoW/ACoW) role is to monitor compliance of a development with all relevant environmental and ecological legislation and policy. Ensuring mitigation strategies and the contents of relevant documents such as CEMPs (Construction Environment Management Plan) and method statements are being delivered as specified to limit risk and delays. ECoW can be deployed throughout the delivery stage of a development which requires ecological or environmental auditing or monitoring.
